Historical

Caragea, Ştirbey, Bibescu, Sturdza, Rosetti, Ghica, Cantacuzino, Brătianu, Bánffy‎, Teleki‎ are important names of the political and aristocratic elites who wrote the history of the Romanian Principalities and Transylvania. They contributed to the thrivingness of the Romanian area and to its openness towards Western culture, as their trips to occidental states provided them with the inventiveness that was necessary in order to modernise and infuse the Romanian Principalities with Western cultural standards. Boyars and nobles commissioned residences, palaces and manors that were built in line with 19th century fashion. Each building reflects the essence of the family that commissioned it. First and foremost, historical residences are remarkable due to the events that took place within their walls and to the story of those who built them in the past few centuries and whose remembrance will always be part of those buildings. This type of house will always be an ideal home for an erudite person who is fascinated with the mystery of buildings, as well as with the people that made fundamental changes in the history of Romanians.
